Silvia Martinelli is the co-founder and perfumer of Giardini di Toscana, based in Bibbiena in Tuscany’s Casentino region. She grew up among the scents of her family’s perfumery, inheriting an interest in fragrance from her mother and grandparents. That personal setting remains central to the house’s identity.

Martinelli develops fragrances from emotions, remembered places and unexpected encounters. The brand describes a process led by intuition rather than a fixed pattern, with each composition given its own story. Her aim is to create a scent that becomes part of the wearer’s personality while retaining the intimacy of its original inspiration.

Bianco Latte offers a particularly clear example. In an interview, she explained that she wanted to translate tenderness, protection and shared memories into an enveloping fragrance. Childhood breakfasts and the warmth of milk, honey and caramel informed that idea. Blu Indaco and the wider collection reveal other expressions of the same personal creative world.
