An international practice connecting materials, technology and brand identity
Philippe Paparella-Paris is a perfumer whose work at Symrise has included a Dubai creative base and collaborations with houses such as Hermetica, OmanLuxury and Maison Mirwad.
In a first-person interview at Beautyworld Middle East in 2019, he explained the development of Hermetica and its use of an alcohol-free fragrance technology. The project brought material research into a wider brand concept, with a shared olfactory thread designed to connect the collection.
His later collaboration with Maison Mirwad was discussed with its founder, Mashael Al-Kuwari, in a 2026 interview. These projects show different aspects of an international creative practice: understanding the identity of a house, responding to regional fragrance cultures and finding the technical structure that can carry an idea.
