Zavelier · The perfumers
A Bulgarian creator working across international fragrance cultures
Miroslav Petkov grew up in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, before developing his career abroad. His professional path took him through Argentina and Spain, with later work associated with the Spanish fragrance house Iberchem.
His credited creations include Bond No. 9’s B9, SoHo and perfumes in its Dubai collection. These projects connected his work with both the American niche market and the materials and preferences of Middle Eastern fragrance culture.
In 2017, Petkov also contributed to Iberchem’s Beautyworld Middle East exhibition, Ephemeral Treasures, Eternal Memories. The project linked perfumes inspired by Arabian landscapes with essential oils and raw materials in their natural state. His published career accounts describe a particular interest in spices and balsamic materials, alongside an awareness that a fragrance must eventually find an audience. The work combines creative experimentation with experience of different markets and ways of wearing scent.
