Zavelier · The perfumers
Material stories, precise contrasts and an intimate fragrance experience
Marc Daniel Heimgartner is a perfumer at LUZI whose commissions include work for Kajal and Electimuss. His published interviews give a close view of how an idea develops through materials and direct collaboration with a brand.
For Kajal’s Masa, the process began with a conversation with founder Moe Khalaf at Esxence in 2022, before the perfume had its final name. The brief asked for an unusual meeting of crisp aquatic and amber impressions, requiring careful work on contrast and balance.
In discussing Electimuss Reverie Haze, Heimgartner described choosing ingredients for both their sensory character and the stories they suggest. Natural materials, modern molecules and constructed accords play different roles: texture and complexity on one side, clarity and precision on another. His accounts place the finished perfume at the point where those elements support one another, allowing a detailed composition to remain emotionally direct and intimate.
