A family tradition interpreted through clear, expressive formulas

Lucas Sieuzac grew up in a family of perfumers and decided at eighteen that fragrance would become his own means of expression. His career has included work at Florasynth, Créations Aromatiques, Symrise and Eurofragance.

In Eurofragance’s account of his practice, Sieuzac describes an interest in short, precise formulas in which each ingredient has a clear role. Classical materials can be combined with newer ingredients to create a recognisable message without unnecessary detail.

His first-person comments also reveal a willingness to challenge familiar combinations. An ingredient may become a particular focus for a period, prompting him to explore how far its character can be changed through different associations.
