Zavelier · The perfumers
A Robertet career built through materials and international projects
Jacques Flori began working at Robertet in 1973 as a perfumer’s assistant. He developed within the company, progressing to junior and then senior perfumer through practical experience and a close understanding of the house’s raw materials.
His work took him into projects for international brands and markets, including the United States and Indonesia. The biography published for M.INT places a love of nature and an interest in Robertet’s natural materials at the centre of his creative background.
His credited compositions include Amouage’s The Library Collection Opus IV, Casamorati Bouquet Ideale and Jovoy’s Psychédélique and La Liturgie des Heures. These offer different points of entry into his work, from warm woods and spices to patchouli and incense-related themes. Flori’s career shows how an extended education inside a fragrance house can develop into a varied body of work for brands with very different creative identities.
