Zavelier · The perfumers
A personal artistic voice shaped between Beirut, Paris and New York
Honorine Blanc was born in Beirut, where the city’s culture and sensory life shaped her early years. She later studied in Paris and discovered perfumery as a profession.
An invitation from Sophia Grojsman brought her to New York, which became the base for her subsequent creative life. Her professional biography at dsm-firmenich describes a practice guided by feeling as well as by the analytical act of smelling.
Blanc values time alone to gather ideas and observe the world around her. Reading is an important source of that reflection, with writers including Stefan Zweig and Khalil Gibran among her interests. She speaks about originality as a personal commitment: a composition should remain connected with the person creating it. Her work brings that individual sensitivity into the collaborative setting of a fragrance house, where an idea must also respond to a brand and eventually find meaning for its wearer.
