Zavelier · The perfumers
A body of work connecting woods, flowers and the teaching of materials
Daniel Molière’s career includes work with Mane and Azur Fragrances, alongside commissions for established fashion and perfume houses. His credited creations include Santos de Cartier, Eau de Givenchy, Givenchy Insensé and Diptyque’s Tam Dao Eau de Parfum.
Those fragrances offer different views of his practice: the spicy and woody character of Santos, the floral direction of Insensé and the sandalwood world of Tam Dao. Rather than assigning a single signature to them, they can be read as responses to distinct brands, moments and creative briefs.
His influence also appears in the recollections of other perfumers. In an account published by Nez, Karine Chevallier remembers learning raw materials under his guidance during an early internship in Grasse. That testimony records an essential part of the profession: the patient education of the nose, through repeated smelling, comparison and an understanding of how an ingredient can become part of a composition.
