Zavelier · The perfumers
Learning within a Grasse family of perfumers
Camille Cavallier grew up with perfume as part of family life. Her father, Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud, and her grandfather both worked in the profession. In an interview published during a visit to Grasse, she recalled family conversations about fragrance and the small olfactory excursions her grandfather organised after school.
That early education developed into an apprenticeship with her father at Louis Vuitton’s Les Fontaines Parfumées. She has spoken about the notes her grandfather left her, a personal connection to the knowledge and working methods of an earlier generation.
In March 2024, the Grasse Institute of Perfumery documented a partnership in which Jacques and Camille Cavallier-Belletrud welcomed students and shared their expertise. Her profile therefore combines a developing creative career with participation in the transmission of Grasse’s craft. The individual and shared fragrance credits listed below identify the works represented in Zavelier’s catalogue.
