Zavelier · The perfumers
From a teenage fascination to an international fragrance career
Alix Miral’s interest in perfume began as a teenager collecting fragrance advertising posters. She went on to graduate from ISIPCA, turning that early fascination into a professional education in materials, formulation and fragrance creation.
Her experience includes Laboratoire Monique Remy in Grasse and Chanel in Paris. Kajal’s biography also records work at Drom in New York and Munich from 2001. Her practice extends beyond fine fragrance to hair care, skin care and home fragrance, where a composition must be adapted to different products and ways of experiencing scent.
Travel is another part of her creative background, with Kajal describing journeys ranging from Namibia to French Guiana. Her work for the house includes Wardé and Joorie. The latter developed from founder Moe Khalaf’s memory of a red rose bush, translating a personal recollection into a composition of spices, flowers, honeyed warmth and woods.
