Grey Amber
Ambergris suggests warm skin, dry wood and a saline, slightly animalic softness. It is generally less sugary and resinous than a conventional vanilla-benzoin amber accord.

It lends an airy warmth to citrus, flowers and woods, often helping the composition feel more continuous. The effect may be subtle even when it changes the overall texture.
The note’s placement and prominence depend on the complete composition.
Understanding this note
Natural ambergris is historically an animal-derived material associated with sperm whales. Contemporary ambergris effects are commonly built with aroma materials; the note name does not prove that natural ambergris is used.
